Nike ACG 20th Anniversary Editorial

Celebrating their 20th Anniversary in the realm of mountaineering and outdoors goods, Nike ACG (All Conditions Gear) works up a special photoshoot in the latest issue of Japanese publication, Men’s Non-No. The magazine showcases some upcoming product from Nike’s outdoors division, including a good portion of outerwear and footwear releases, all of which showcase the label’s progression into its second decade of existence. Not only has ACG allowed Nike to progress in other avenues aside from sportswear, but has also introduced a good amount of cutting edge technologies to a vital genre in the world of fashion.

A Bathing Ape Daily Planner

For those blessed with organizational skills or daily planning rituals, A Bathing Ape releases they 2010 version of the Japanese brand’s “Planning Diary”. The camo-clad hand-held planner features both a monthly and weekly calendar with adequate spots for filling in those important appointments. Retailing for ¥1,200 (Approx. $13 USD), it is now available through Rakuten.

Converse 2010 Spring Preview

Maintaining a degree of simplicity, Converse prepare for another season of classic releases as the brand previews upcoming looks for Spring 2010. Seen are various staple models and the introduction of updated silhouettes. Among the highlights are Converse’s Jack Purcell in two-tone canvas offerings, the Fast Break II, Star Player 1977, and a set of Chuck Taylor Slims, popular within the John Varvatos line.

Nike Dunk Hi Supreme East

Amongst some of Nike’s latest releases are their East version of the Dunk Hi Supreme from the brand’s East vs. West Pack. The kicks take obvious inspiration from Gucci, with a ostrich-infused leather design boasting forest green, red, and black uppers atop white midsoles and gum bottoms. A release is now underway at most Nike Sportswear retailers, including Proper.

Medicom Toy x Loopwheeler Bearbrick and Fleece Set

Launching next Sunday, September 26th, will be the latest project between Medicom Toy and fleece specialists Loopwheeler. Amongst the chosen items are a set of Bearbricks, available in 100%, 400%, and 1000% scales, matched up perfectly with zip-down hoody designs on three different color blocks. The hoodies feature a variety of different graphic icons, paying tribute to the brand’s 10th Anniversary, with both sleeves receiving hits as well as the hood and a crest on the left chest area.

Nike “Foamposite” Blazer High Premium

Playing off their recent Foamposite and Flightposite themes, Nike unveils a new rendition of the Blazer Hi, worked up in a premium arrangement reflective of the classic Foamposite design. The color borrows from the Penny Hardaway-endorsed sneaker, with a Royal Blue upper paired alongside a shiny Black swoosh, black accents and a hit of Carbon Fiber. These can certainly qualify as one of the nicer transplant styles from Nike in sometime. A release can be expected this month at Footlocker House of Hoops locations.

Nike and Jordan brand have come together to produced a very special edition Letterman Jacket to commemorate Michael Jordan’s recent induction to the Basketball Hall Fame. Assembled from premium leather, embroider patches on the left sleeve highlight Jordan’s numerous achievements – including 10 Scoring Titles, 32,992 Career Points, 5 Times MVP, 2,514 Steals, 14 All-Stars.

JAY-Z REPLACES WHITNEY AT NO. 1 ON THE BILLBOARD

After debuting on top of the Billboard 200 chart, Whitney Houston’s comeback album, I Look To You, has dropped down to No. 3. Whitney’s album entered the 200 at No. 1 last week after selling 300,000 copies. Whitney’s album sold 88,000 copies this week and was dethroned on the chart by Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3, which debuts at No. 1 after selling 476,000 copies in its first week. Blueprint 3 becomes Jay-Z’s 11th No. 1 album and with that accomplishment, Jay-Z now replaces Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most No. 1 albums!

In celebration of the Gardener 10th anniversary, and his first USA exhibition; not only is Michael Lau releasing a series of exclusive woodgrain figures, but he is also releasing a pair of Nike SB Stefan Janoski sneakers! The woodgrain theme carries over from his Nike SB Dunk Low seen a few years back, while at the same time referencing the current toy release. The shoe is embossed with the date “09.29.2009″ – the first day of the exhibition – though a release is said to take place on the final day of the show; October 3rd, 2009.

In my debut edition of Supreme Fresh, i are featuring Washington D.C.’s own, Wale, who most recently wrapped up a crowed as the live act during the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards. Supreme Fresh, is my way of identifying various celebrities in the industry who are keeping it fresh with their fashion whether it’s the newest pair of collaboration sneakers or if it’s a fresh apparel piece or accessory. Wale, arrived at the 2009 MTV VMA’s wearing two different pairs of the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton collaboration sneakers. He was seen originally in the Don’s and then again in a pair of the Jasper’s. The rapper also represented for his hometown by wearing a Washington Nationals New Era 59FIFTY fitted cap.

LACOSTE INDIANA HIGH (LIMITEDITIONS)

Lacoste are about to return to center court, this time with a new doubles partner - LimitEDitions of Barcelona. The two have teamed up to revive the Indiana High, an impossibly high-topped tennis shoe buried deep in the Lacoste vaults.Tennis aficionados may recognize the Missouri midsole, but from the ground floor up you’d swear these were made for ballin’ of a different kind.  The creamy pastel upper gives the shoe a whiff of faded ‘80s retro glory without roughing things up too much. Topped of with the LimitEDitions crest embossed deep into the buttery tongue these will be available in his-and-hers colourways on October 3rd.

visvim 2009 Fall/Winter Outerwear Collection

In a further look into visvim’s 2009-2010 Fall/Winter collection, two new outerwear pieces will enter retail fronts soon. The bomber-style MECHANICS jacket features a simple design with triangle highlights over the chest. The PFD JACKET 3L is a waterproof breathable offering in a high-colored M-65 aesthetic. Each jacket is featured in a few different colors over at RE IN FORCE.

Goodenough Stadium Jacket

Founded in 1990, Goodenough has arguably been one of Japan’s most well-known and respected streetwear labels. In 2009 they release their latest stadium jacket rendition. This 2009 version features a numbered patch on the sleeve as well as a chest patch in a traditional collegiate team lettering. The numbering goes from 00 all the way to 09 while un-numbered versions will also drop. The jacket will be available on Thursday, September 24th at tokishirazu.

Livestock Block Party 2009

Livestock orchestrated yet another super successful block party this past weekend as a stream of over 5,000 people packed a small section of Gastown to an afternoon of music, food and exhibition. Live music was provided by DJ Age, Flipout, My Gay Husband, Marvel, Rico Uno, Hedspin and Fashen in addition to Guu providing the food. A long list of sponsors ensured a smooth-running event including the likes of The Hundreds, Keep, Puma, Es and G-SHOCK among other brands.

HUF + DVS 2010 Spring Collection Preview

Having forged a strong partnership throughout the years with HUF owner and team rider Keith Hufnagel, DVS welcomes their collaborative Spring 2010 lineup with a preview of what the skate brand has in store. Two different sneaker models can be expected, each offered in three different colorways, although its a bid tough to decipher through the distorted photography style. Further information should arise closer to the launch date.

Vibskov & Emenius “The Fringe Projects” Book Release NYC

Following their collaboration exhibition effort earlier this year, fashion designer Henrik Vibskov and artist Andreas Emenius prepare to officially launch their new publication which features a closer look into the duo’s aforementioned The Fringe Projects spectacle. A special launch event is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday September 18th at 6pm within the LaViolaBank Gallery in NYC.

Air Jordan L’Style Black/White

Introduced earlier in the year, Jordan has begun distributing their new L’Style silhouette to select Jordan accounts. The lifestyle sneaker takes on a more sophisticated approach, which has become a recurring factor in a wealth of Jordan releases throughout the past few years. The kicks combine a premium leather upper with slight perforated details and dual-strap velcro system, replacing traditional laces. Available now via Extra Butter.

Nike Holiday 2009 RT1 LE

A solid new colorway of the high top Nike RT1 will be released in the coming months. The sneaker comes with a chocolate brown leather upper and purple laces. You can look out for a release some time around October 2009.

Spring Court G1 Tweed Special Edition

A beautiful new all tweed version of the Spring Court G1 low top trainer has been released. The sneaker comes with a classic brown/beige tweed pattern on the side-panels, black tweed on the toe box and tongue and a clean white sole. The sneaker is now available from Beauty & Youth.

Asics x Gettry Sidekick Pack

Japanese retailer Gettry worked with Asics on the Sidekick Pack. The pack consists of two Procourt sneakers from Asics, both coming in vibrating colors. One of them comes with a black upper, all yellow sole and yellow stitching. The other one comes in a Jamaica color scheme, featuring yellow, green and red on the upper, as well as an all yellow sole. The sneakers are now available for pre-order.

Once again Deluxe has released new pieces from its Fall/Winter 2009 Collection. They have dropped new shirts, fleece hoodies, fleece sweaters and pants, belts, jackets, vests and more. The Japanese brand continues to provide very solid collections with a very round overall direction that we all like a lot.

Nike x Playstation Air Trainer 1

Nike has already collaborated several times with PlayStation on sneakers and they are amongst the most hunted of all time. Today we get a first look at the new PlayStation Nike Air Trainer 1. The sneaker was designed with Ron Eagle of PlayStation and will for sure turn heads. Multiple graphic elements have been put on the black base of the sneaker. I am impressed with the amount of details, materials and colors of the sneaker, but of course it is too extreme to be loved by the mass. Limited to only 24 pairs, the sneaker will unfortunately never see a general release.

fragment Design x Sophnet x FYI Design: FSF Urban Project

FYI Design, known for their long term relationship with Burton, mostly working on the Burton aK Collection, has now gotten together with fragment Design and Sophnet on the FSF Urban Project. The project consists of a series of technical jackets, both with and without hood, featuring the latest technical features. The jackets come in Grey and red, with the red one being our favorite. So far i have not gotten any news on a release date yet, but i will keep you posted.

Mr. Freedom x J.Crew Denim Pea Coat

J.Crew continues to impress by choosing the right partners to collaborate with. The latest product to come out is the Mr. Freedom denim pea coat. Known for their vintage inspired fashion, Mr. Freedom produced for J.Crew an all denim pea coat, featuring nice large buttons and a beautiful lining. The coat is now available here.
